A lesson in disaster management - IMSE students faced fire drill today and learnt the ways to handle emergency in case of fire. They build a fire first and then discovered the ways to use the siren, evacuation method, extinguishing fire through the use of sand, water and fire extinguisher and the reasons to use one over the other.

The whole drill was performed by class X students while the others participated in escaping tactics and learnt the skills by observing the procedure.

CBSE has course inclusions like this along with life skills, personality development, etc which makes the curriculum more practical centred and oriented towards real life situations
