IMSE Students Won First Prize For Their Model At The Taluka Level Science Exhibition

IMSE Class IX students, Rudraksh Khandelwal, Pratham Paliwal, Tejas Dhule and Vishwajeet Rai won first prize for their model at the taluka level science exhibition held at Antora today.

The model was 'preparing bio-fuel from algae'.

The mixture of methanol, sodium hydroxide and fat containing oil was used to make this biofuel. Boys claim that this fuel could replace Petrol and diesel and since it does not emit carbon dioxide it solves the problem of pollution too!

Their science teachers, Mrs Tilottama Dande, Mrs Trishala Sharma and Mrs Meenakshi Gayakwad gave them able guidance for the project.

The jubilant smiles of the boys are infectious!
